Tracearr is self-hosted software. We don't collect your data. Your monitoring data stays on your own server.
This policy covers the tracearr.com marketing website, not the Tracearr application itself (which runs entirely on your own infrastructure).
What We Collect
Marketing Website (tracearr.com)
This website uses basic analytics to understand visitor traffic. We may collect:
- Page views and general usage patterns
- Referral sources
- Browser and device type
We don't create advertising profiles or sell any data.
Tracearr Application
The Tracearr application is self-hosted software that runs on your infrastructure. It does not send data to us. All monitoring data, user information, and analytics remain on your own servers under your control. There is no telemetry, crash reporting, or analytics SDK in the application. The mobile app sends crash and performance reports to Expo, and app usage and error reports to PostHog, covered in the mobile app's policy below.
Two things leave your server, and only because you turned them on. Push notifications to the mobile app are routed through the Expo Push Notification Service, which sees your device token and the notification text your own server wrote. Newsletters and alert emails go out through the SMTP provider whose credentials you entered. Neither path sends us anything. The mobile app's own policy is in the repository.
Third-Party Services
The marketing website may use:
- Vercel for hosting and performance metrics
- Google Analytics for website traffic
- PostHog for website and product analytics
- GitHub for repository hosting and issue tracking
- Discord for community discussion
Each of these services has their own privacy policies.
Cookies
The marketing website uses essential cookies for basic functionality and analytics cookies to measure traffic. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your Rights
Website analytics are limited to the items above and aren't tied to a named individual. For the self-hosted application, you control all data on your own server.
